Delaware Trust Building Wilmington, Delaware 19899 Dear Bob: Following up on one of the most important developments of our last Food, Drug and Cosmetic Packaging Materials Committee meeting, this is simply to let you and everyone on the Committee know that we have now proceeded as Mr. Tom Brown -of FDA recommended. More specifically, with the help of Einar Wulfsberg, we have now cleared the appointment of a special three man committee to negotiate with FDA on the so-called "Ramsey proposal"; have thereby received approval for this committee to be constituted of Einar, Jack Frawley and me; and have set February 3 as the date for our first meeting with the FDA staff. This meeting will be taking place at 10:00 A.M. in Mr. Brown's office. We shall, of course, report to you on our progress at this session as promptly as possible. In the meantime, we should perhaps note here that those who were not present at our full Committee session on January 13 should be receiving the Minutes of that meeting in the next ten days or two weeks so that they will have all of the background necessary. The Minutes have been completely drafted but are being held up very temporarily pending our receipt of one addi tional liaison report which I am certain we shall have quite soon now. ASI~pR 000U86
